Planning Your Visit
When you arrive at Elemental Massage Therapy you will be greeted with the soothing smell of aromatherapy and a calming atmosphere. It is important to arrive on time for your appointment. It is a good idea to arrive a little early in order to complete any necessary paperwork and to relax a bit. Please feel free to enjoy the seating area on the balcony while you wait.
We accept most major medical, auto, and L&I insurance.
To streamline your visit, please print out form packets to complete at home.
Your First Visit
You will need to complete a Health Intake form, which will give us a clearer picture of your medical history so that we can focus on your specific needs. A Daily Health Report form will be filled out at subsequent visits as a way of tracking your progress. If we will be billing your insurance, we will need to make a copy of your insurance card.
You will be be appropriately covered during your massage with a sheet and warm blanket, with only areas that are being worked on exposed, but feel free to undress to your comfort level. Your job during the massage is to breathe deeply and fully, to completely relax into the table, and to just let yourself go. If talking helps you relax, feel free. If you have a favorite cd that would help you loosen up, bring it! Your massage is completely adaptable to you. Let us know if the pressure is ever too light or deep, or if you are ever uncomfortable in any way.
All massages given are therapeutic, professional, legitimate, non-sexual, non-sensual, safe and confidential. Any type of sexual advances, remarks, or inappropriate touch will end the service immediately.
Take care of yourself after your massage. Always drink extra water afterwards to help flush out toxins released from your muscle tissue during the massage. Avoid alcohol and other stimulants (over the counter or prescribed drugs, tea, coffee) for at least 12 hours after the treatment. Continue to drink a good amount of water, get plenty of rest & exercise, stretch daily, and ice or heat muscles as needed. Regular massage sessions will aid your body in quicker recovery from pains and sickness, and keep your body limber and pain free.
We value the time we set aside for your appointment. Please show up on time for your appointment or call if you will be late. 24 hours notice is required for all cancellations. No-shows and cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the treatment price. This fee must be paid prior to your next date of service.
Insurance co-pays are due at the time of service. Please contact your insurance company prior to your first appointment to verify coverage. We provide insurance billing as a courtesy to you, but you are responsible for charges not covered by your insurance, including deductibles.
