Marisa Berglund, BA, LMP, owner of Elemental Massage Therapy

I have been a massage therapist since 2002. I received my training from Ashmead school of massage.

I also took a further course in Aromatherapy and Spa training. While in massage school I volunteered my time at Children’s Hospital doing chair massage on hospital staff and parents of children who were patients at the hospital. I also did an internship at Steven’s Hospital in Edmonds where I massaged patients and staff of the hospital. I am a provider for most major medical insurance as well as auto insurance and Labor and Industries. Massage therapy is truly my passion and I can’t imagine having any other career. Whether I am providing treatment to someone with an injury or helping someone to relax after a long days work, I am always rewarded by the fact that I can make a difference in others’ lives. In addition to being trained to do swedish, deep tissue and injury treatment massage, I am also trained in the art of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage and Ashi-Thai. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband Adam and my sons Tenzin and Makaio.

Robyn Boone, LMP

Hello! I got into Massage through the Energetic Healing modalities of Healing Touch and Reiki. Energy work is a subtle and non-invasive way to reduce anxiety, stress and tension. It is perfect for those who cannot receive massage or anyone wanting to experience a deeply relaxing healing session.

In 2008 I graduated from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in Ann Arbor, MI. While there, I became certified in Swedish, Myofacial Release and Neuromuscular Therapy with Tigger Point Release. My training also included Reflexology, Shiatsu, and Sports Massage.

Since completing Massage School, I have become skilled in Hot Bamboo Fusion, Hot Stone, Prenatal Massage and additional hours of Reflexology. Most recently I have focused my training in a modality called The L.I.F.T. Method. L.I.F.T. stands for Ligament Influenced Facial Technique. This low impact technique helps to reeducate muscles that get adhered or become inflexible due to injury or incorrect compensation patterns. This method has helped me to increase range of motion for clients which can help them to feel better and move with more ease.

I love to learn and regularly update my skills and techniques. I combine those new skills with my existing knowledge and integrate them into my overall massage. Because of my diverse training I am able to bring clients a uniquely personalized massage experience based on what they prefer and what will bring the best results. I enjoy treatment/injury or deep tissue massage as well as relaxation modalities.

Thank you for taking the time to look over my credentials.
